    Parts Cross Reference

Hello all. I offered to do this a couple years ago and it didn't go over well but I'll try again.

Many of us have found parts that fit the XS11 from other, often cheaper, sources than Yamaha. If everyone will post their lists, I will compile them into a document and submit it back for posting in the maintanence section.
For example, at one point someone had found that a caliper pison of a datsun truck was the same as the xs11 front.
I had actually found the caliper seals by going through the parts bin at Advance Auto but lost the paper I wrote the info on.

    You guy's game???

I got an oil pressure sender from a Yamaha outboard boat motor dealer for $9 (as I remember) instead of $50 from the bike shop.It was for the four stroke outboard.I just laid the switch on the counter, and they matched it up.

      WOW!!!!

Now that'sgood stuff.....funny tho cause YAMAHA outboard stuff has the reputation for being very costly.

The Yamaha tank chromed plastic emblems can be bought at a Yamaha golf cart dealer in your area for $3-$4 each...

I used an alarm system sealed Gel-Cell battery for my bike. Usually run ya about $35-$40 for an 18 amp-hour one.
