    Might be harder than most people think, people aren't so quick to part out pieces of carburetors for fear of it might be a part you need down the line or because they're more valuable complete. Surprised he has so many.

      Mine is pretty grungy and i've re-painted it a couple of times. it's time to bite the bullet and go new.

          The 'standard' ones are cad(?) plated, the ones used on the specials (or at least the later 80-81 models) were chrome.

              Strictly conjecture since I don't currently have a standard completed, this is because of tank clearance, ergonomics, or simply for appearance. My guess is tank clearance but only a guess.

                No, it's not tank clearance, there's loads of room. The levers bend easily at the top, so you can straighten one up if required. They were zinc plated on the UK ones, I believe. I bought a NOS one on eBay for about $24 and it makes a big difference to the appearance of the carbs. I've only ever seen that one for sale so far, so to see several is rare.

                  Or... just get rid of the lever all together and screw on one of these chrome knobbers....

                      Can't really tell much from the picture... It says starter lever, not choke lever. I wonder if it has the rubber on the tip like the original. My choke lever is all rust.. thinking about it.

                            Mine broke on my SG years ago but still has enough to grab onto.Is it a lot of work to put one on?Don't feel like removing carbs.
