  • Special damper rod -can't remove it

I can't get the bolt out of the bottom of the fork leg. The damper rod is just spinning in there. The damper rod is round on the inside. So, how do I get it out?

The spring pressure is not enough to hold it. Impact just makes it spin fast. Bike is SG.

Take the spring out, drain the fork and try the old broomstick handle while applying your weight on the fork to press down on it. Bet you wish you didn't use threadlock now huh?

      Phil,

Believe it or not, I assembled it without Locktite. I'll give the broom stick a try. Thanx!

Sure...from your point of view. On the other hand, he's responsible for greasy broom handles around the world.
