So, I finally got the chance to plan a ride with my dad and brother. On my way to meeting up with them, my bike blows the fuse for the tach, turn signals, brake light etc... Pulled over switched in a spare. Checked the tach and turn signals. They work fine so I head on my way. Only for it to blow yet again. Got up to my dads house and we start to trouble shoot. All the while I'm getting crap from my dad and brother about ruining the first day warm enough to ride in a while.

We discovered that it was the brake light circuit that was shorting out to blow the fuse. Whenever you hit either the front or the rear brake it pops. Using a multimeter we discovered that the rear brake switch had rubbed against the frame and worked its way through the boot and was grounding against support above it.

We cut the boot off and ground down the contacts to give me some more clearance. Taped it up and now works fine.

Messoed up our ride. But got my bike fixed. But only a temporary fix. Anybody know whwre to get a new switch for a decent price?
