Okay this is what is going on.
First I did the vac advance repair. you know the broken wire deal in the right cover.
I did the conversion from airbox to cone filters. I must say I like this look better.
After reassembling everything and finally getting it started again.
Which was a chore to say the least. The engine started at instantly went to full throtle. I of course shut it down real real quick... I checked the throttle cable and linkage stuff around the carb set for obstructions of which there where none.
I am thinking the repair I made to the vac advance failed and has got the thing stuck wide open. I am going out right now to pull that cover off and check to be sure.
Anyone have any suggestions of where to start if that turns out to not be it?
I was amazed how loud that exhaust is inside my 16x 16 shop. hahaha
