psychically behind me headlight is a red and blue wire that don't go to anything. even in the wiring diagram they are shown not connected to anything and the red wire is always hot keyed off and everything. any ideas what it might be for?

It's also interesting to note that the blue wire wasn't installed on all Specials; my SG harness had the red wire but not the blue....Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

Easiest way is to tap the blue wire coming out of the ignition switch. This will turn on the running lights with the taillight (and also light them if the key is turned to 'park'). The downside is this wire is only protected by the 'main' fuse at that point, so I'd install a inline fuse ahead of the lights...Originally posted by GLoweVA View PostFast, Cheap, Reliable...
