If it says H4 it should work, don't know what the P43T means. It might be the type of pin layout.

I think that's the type of base where it fits into the headlight shell, the H4 is the pinout. I don't thing that those will fit, they are for a different type of headlight system IIRC. Our bikes need just a straight H4 bulb, which won't say anything about the base type, as the normal H4 is also the base type, where the P43T base is I believe bigger around and shaped differently. A strict P43T uses a different connector IIRC, so this bulb is a hybrid type with the H4 connector but not the H4 base, we need both the H4 connector AND H4 base.

        Hope it fits

Hope it fits, I ordered it, $9.00, so I won't hang myself if it don't. I googeled the right replacment # for my bike and a site came up with P43T as correct for direct replacement Guess I will see when it gets here. Here is what it looks like"

in a land far away and a long time ago really
there used to be H4 bulbs with a different shaped base all round with no tabs called a P45t I haven't seen one since the 60's when I had Mini's so maybe that is the difference

              Fit?

Here is the site I googeled with the OEM part#, claims it is a fit. If it needs a mod, I will measure it with a micrometer, mark it with a pice of chauk then cut it with an axe

Yep, your right, I got confused with the two. The P43T is the one that indeed does work with our bikes. Now I don't know about your state, but at least here in Ca blue tinted bulbs are not legal.

                  My State?

In my state a renter across the street from my moms house went on a beer run, backed over his fence, hit my moms corvette, then hit her house, tryed to pull away, hit a tree. When the cops got there, they let him walk away, told my mom there was nothing they could do because he was an illegal. All this, and she lives 50 yards from an elementry school I am guessing they will let my headlight pass

But your not an illegal, which means you don't get a pass. Sometimes it sucks to be legal, seems like the illegals get over. Had one hit my car in the parking lot of the local AM/PM-Arco station, and not only did my insurance have to pay for the damage to his car cause he didn't have insurance OR a license, but had to pay for the damage to my car as well. The guy didn't even get a ticket, cause they couldn't touch him on private property unless he tried to drive the car off of it. He had a legal friend with a license come and pick up his car and drive it home for him. Cost me the deductible AND the increased insurance premiums.

Just because the glass is blue doesn't mean the light will come out blue. Think of GE Reveal lightbulb, they are blue but nothing in the house looks blue, it just filters out other colors like the reds and yellows.

                            White

That must be the difference, Mike's site says it gives a brighter "white" light, I just bought it because it claims much improved visabilty and it was only nine bucks, no extra S/H as I was getting some other stuff and just added to my order, will update everyone as to what I think soon

I read on here somewhere about cleaning out the old lens with soapy water and marbles? Cant find the post now, anyone try this

If Florida is anything like Alabama (and it is ) you could have strobing bright blue lights on the bike and no one would say a word .
