  • Fuel mix screws?

I know I have been asking a lot of questions latly, but I am re-doing a lot of stuff and am Sooooo thankfull for all you guys who have "been there, done that" On my carb rebuild I "carefuly" seated the fuel mix screws, then backed out to 1 1/2 turns each to start with. Back in my auto-mech days after everything else was right, we would screw them in slowly till the RPM just started to drop, then back out 1/8th turn? I know my cars only had two screws, not four, but does this apply to bikes also

Here's the tech tip for adjusting the pilot screws.

I didn't have much sucess at it, so I left mine all at 2 turns out.

ps. Don't worry about asking too many questions, that's what we're all here for.....(we want knowledge about our bikes)

That's why I prefer the colortune plug. Does the task in a lot less time, and a lot more precisely IMO.

          hi oem4me,
yep, same principles in setting up as u would set
up a car carby, ull more than likely have to screw them out
more than 1 1/2 turns tho.
and as glowe said, ask away, its better to be safe than sorry.
