  • Carb rebuild

At 6:30AM I opened up my present that my brother sent me...it contained 4 carb rebuild kits....so off I went to remove the carbs...came back in the house quickly to get shoes and coat ( it was 25 degrees)...man them rubber carb boots were stiff...after barking my knuckles repeatedly I got the carbs off....(NEVER AGAIN IN THIS COLD OF WEATHER)...Just finished the rebuild what with people over and having to travel to my parents house....tommorrow morning they go back on...wish I had carb stix...but I used feeler gage blades to get them in the ballpark...I had a broken off pilot jet in #3 carb...hence needing the rebuild kits....finally got it out....PO had broken off the head to the jet somehow....came out with an ezout....I hope this makes it run much better....Merry Christmas all....and don't try this at home....I am a trained idiot for attempting this in cold weather....

Some people have had trouble with the pilot jets in the K&L kit, it's too big and the bike will not idle right. Just do a search for pilot jet or K&L, K+L or something and you should be able to find the info.
