  • Fork brace for an XJ?

I've read that the XJ1100 already came with a fork brace from the factory... hard to tell from my looking at it...Would the XJ still benefit from a TKAT fork brace? Or would it just be a waste of money?

called one after a fashion at best..............TKat that scoot.........and a heads-up..... stay away from the black and green coils.......reports coming back of both failing now that they both have been in use for some time.

The fork brace bennifits the standard more due to the way the Axel clamps. Ands the fender in the xJ has a thick piece of metal in the middle. As for the coils. I have had mine about3 years. Never missed a tick. Supposedly they are prone to fail If you unplug them and try testing the wires on the motor. I have the black ones. Definatly worth it.

I think you're about the only one that the black coils haven't failed on. Reports are starting to come in on failures on the green coils as well. To make matters worse, the MikesXS coils comes with NO warranty, where the brand name coils come with a 1 year warranty. If you are going to get the green coils, there are sources for the dyna coils that are the same price or cheaper than the MikesXS coils.

Good price Steve, hopefully it stays there.

Ben, yeah they are a little bit smaller around than the stock ones, nothing significant that you will notice though.
