I have no idea what it takes to make it, but a big THANKS to TC for the all the work making the DVD of the rally. Watched it last night and I am still smiling. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got MY Christmas present.

    Happy holidays all.

I got mine a couple days ago and only watched the first two parts so far, but was impressed. Thanks TC, it was just like being there again.

            You're Welcome!

            Thanks everyone,

It's a labor of "love" for the XS community, and I'll be getting a copy to Rob soon! Had lots to do during the Xmas time and limited # of blank DVD's discs!! I've got more now! So, I'm burnin for you now!!

            T.C.

            **BTW, what it took!
1st: had to capture the 1hour+ worth of video from camcorder to full DVD res. MPG format.

2nd: created the special XS11 menu screen.

3rd: D/L'd all the stills from the other photobooks online.

4th: Ripped a bunch of appropriate songs from CD to HD.

5th: Used Video Editting prg to add titles, import stills and video, add transition affects, background music, and then reprocess(a few clips several times!!) the 6 clips to get them to fit the 3.5GB limit of space available before the DVD authoring prg created the files and expanded their size to the 4.7GB of the DVD.

6th: Actually burn them to DVD, about 30minutes for each disc!

Oh, OK, no biggie, so it's like rebuilding an XS 2nd gear... I understand the words, don't have a clue about the equipment or process.

I have shown a couple of times to friends over the holidays, not sure how they feel about it, but I have a big smile every time it plays.

              Thanks again TC.

                  T.C.,

I got my rally disk.....very impressive! It was a great feeling to relive that wonderful ride, especially now when it's too cold to ride like that. Thanks again for all your labors.

By the way, some of you might not appreciate that part where TC scrapes his pegs. If I recall TC has 4" extensions on his forks. I was there when we had to put a 2x4 under his centerstand AND lift the rear tire to get it off it off the ground and change it. His bike sits high, so it takes some serious effort to scrape anything on Godzilla.

Yep..., scrape 'em if you got 'em! TC was laying her low with that new rubber! It takes some serious work to scrape that extra tall XS. I managed to get the pegs and the centerstand on both side of the Bandit, and Dave got his pegs at least once on the R1. Marty we'll just call you the Muffler mangler for now....
