  • Who's Hose?

Again one thing lead to another, took the tank off to replace the top valve cover gasket and plugs and found this hose going nowhere.

    coming from this location

What is that it's coming from? Is it a vent? or is it supposed to connect to something?

It is the middle drive vent, that is where it is supposed to be, so all is good.

      Hi Eddy,
it's the tank filler drain hose. If you have a Standard gas tank it plugs onto the short steel tube that sticks out the back of the tank.

That is the only hose he is asking about. The second pic is just to show where the other end of the hose in the first pic goes to.

              Hi Nate,
the upper photo is a top view showing the gas tank filler cap drain line.
The photo's orientation places the open end of the drain line just below and to the right of the tank hold-down post.
The lower photo is a side view showing the middle drive vent line in it's proper place.

The hose circled in red is the tank drain (I am guessing here a bit cause it isn't really all that visible) and the hose circled in green is the middle drive vent.

Thanks for the replies, but Nate is correct. I have already identified the drain hose.
