Float bowl repair/replace

Has anybody tried to heliarc a cracked float bowl? The shop that is cleaning my 78E carbs just called to tell me they broke the float bowl & I need a new one or need this one welded.

I'm asking about the welding because if there is a lot of zinc in the part it can't be welded, so if anyone has tried please let me know.

If that fails, does anyone have one to sell?

My post was welded by MOTORCYCLECARBS.COM. That being said, yes the bowl can be welded. It may be easier to find a replacement.
