Glad to see/hear that you got your bike and that you've been able to actually get out and ride!!
The bars are measured as height....from the bar/TT clamp up to the first bend, the total width from bar end to bar end, and the pull back=how long from the top bend to the end of the bar/grip area.
The standard bars do require sitting up/forward more than the specials, and putting setbacks will only get you about 1" of distance farther back, so a different set of bars are probably more like what you'll be looking for/needing to get you the sit up/back position you're going to need to alleviate your leg position and lifting.
Don't know if you've seen the thread in the RALLY forum, but this coming weekend is the Iron Horse Rally, just about 50 miles from you in Western North Carolina, so you could ride out there to see/meet a bunch of Xsives and possibly get to try out several types/styles of handlebars by sitting on folks bikes and see how they feel and the position they provide!
