Tire age

Folks, Just bought a new project and am interested in what you guys think about tires. The numbers on these tires indicate they were made in early 2006. Tread is great. I see no cracking in the sidewalls.

pics look good but 2006 was 5 years ago so how hard has it gotten since then? Go borrow a durometer (the least cost is ~$250) and do a comparo between a new one in a store and yours to make sure.
Me, I'd run it no problem but us sidecar operators will run any old bladder that's still got tread on it because we can't use sidewall adhesion anyway.
