    Cherry Bomb?

    Has anyone ever seen this done? Looks to me like an old Cherry Bomb muffler wedged inside a Standard exhaust.

      Might stay put. Heat buildup might expand the old muffler at the front end and release the Cherry into a real bomb on the road. I know a guy who runs Cherry Bombs on a Gold Wing. Not a pleasant bike to be around. I suspect a rejet would be required for best performance.

        That's my bike I think

        Hey. I did that to my 79 XS1100 Special last year when I bought a then new MAC 4-1 exhaust and hated the sound of the "soup can" mechanical baffle, real buzzy. So I went and got a new thrush glass pack, circumcised it, shoved the core and glass packing into the empty megaphone and drilled a hole through the back and riveted it in place. It sounds FANTASTIC to my ears if you like the old Kawasaki KZ Kerker sound.

            You could drill a hole and put a sheet metal or self tapping screw to hold it in place.
