    Whats the procedure for testing the tci to see if it is god or not?

      Hi Mike,
      break the first commandment, set the TCI up on an altar and pray that the bike starts?
      Or if you meant good do the cleverstuff on Mr Ozz' link.
      Or have a local XJ1100 owner ride to your place (thus demonstrating that his TCI is working) and swap TCIs.
      If your bike starts and his don't, your TCI is hooped.
      If his still starts and yours still don't, your TCI is OK and the problem is elsewhere.

        He has an XJ Fred. The TCIs on those are a rare animal.
