  • How do you know if your rims take tubeless tires?

Hi guys, I was reading on another thread that most here run tubeless but some of the earlier models took tubes. How do you know if your rims take tubeless tires? If they don't, what is this "conversion" I've heard about. Thanks!

It is stamped on the rim "suitable for tubeless tire use". All the Specials came with tubeless rims.

Your Special will have tubeless rims if they're still original; only the '78 and early '79 standards had the tube wheels.
