    Polished Bearing Housing

I'm just not sure so I need to ask, on a fully assembled bike, can the polished bearing housing on the left side of the trans, located right next to the polished end of the starter assembly, be removed and replaced without any problems? It supports one end of a transmission shaft and if I recall during my rebuild I could slide that housing into position without needing to support the shaft while doing so. I just want to be sure that if I remove it, something inside won't go "clink" and drop to the bottom of the trans.

    Thanks!

It's ok, you can pull it. When you put it back in, lube the o-rings, it'll go in easier
