    Cables

Switching from special handlebars to more like standard bars ,was wondering what cables to use, as the specials are to long now. What are there lengths of the other models cables?Where best to buy them?

      Hi Terry,
us old farts dig out our soldering kits, spare cable ends and sidecutters and shorten the ones we have.
But that's the hard way and there's no way to lengthen them again after so you gotta buy new cables anyway if you ever swap back to the rototillers.
XS11 Standard stock cables will work on a Special with Standard(ish) bars on it.
Your local Yamaha dealer can bring them in for you (They won't have them in stock, they don't keep nothin' in stock these days.) The dealer price will be high but they won't charge you shipping.
Less costly but + shipping, any on-line parts supplier will carry them.

A local "all motorcycles shop" should be able to fabricate cables for you.
