    Petcock from Parts N More.

Ordered universal petcock, part #20-0100 and adaptor plate, part #20-0103 from Parts N More. It does not fit as the hole in my tank is not round or big enough to accept this product. Has anyone ordered this petcock and had it installed? Did you drill the tank?
Any advice before I return or sell it will be appreciated.
    Thanks.

      Al,

Since your Eleven is a standard, it shares petcocks with the XS650. If you source a petcock for a later model XS650 from Mike's XS it should be an exact fit. You want Part #20-0019 for 1978-84 XS650.

This WILL NOT fit the XS Eleven Special.

I have the same ones as you Al, It just took a few minutes with a round file to open the holes a touch. The thin rubber gaskets that come with the adapter plates didn't work well for me (they tended to suirt out well before the bolts seemed tight enough) so I made some out of cork-rubber gasket material.
I'm into my third season with those petcocks without trouble.
