  • Just wanted to say thanks

Just wanted to make a quick thread to say thanks to all you guys. Sharing knowledge isn't required and yet everyone here has been more than supportive of not only me, but all the newbies with questions I'm sure you guys roll your eyes at. But if anyone is ever in Waterloo, Iowa look me up and I'll buy the beer.

Reality is that 90% or more of the members here know what they know because someone else shared insight with them, and helped them work through the same issues you may be having. I have had a bunch of on the job learning in putting a few of these bikes together, and would never had got it done without the help of others here as well. So when I get to share what I have learned, I do it thankfully because I am just passing on info and experience. My number one rule in life is to try my best to learn from OTHER peoples mistakes, so I do not have to make that one myself!
Life is what happens while your planning everything else!

When your work speaks for itself, don't interrupt.

Exactly what DGXSER said. The things we know are because others before us shared their knowledge (some came from other Yammy sites as well, but with the same ethic as here), so the idea is to pass it on, in hopes that when you are in a position to, that you will pass it on as well when/if we are not in a position to do so. There may even come a time when you will have discovered something in your travels through the bike that we have not seen and be able to contribute something new to the knowledge base of the site.
