Remove the center of the plug (Ceramic). Cut a slot inside the now exposed area where the ceramic was the length of the plug base. Try the wrench again and the plug base should collapse on itself so to speak and come out. Other tips include mixing acetone and ATF for a really good penetrating oil. Good Luck.

Yeah, it worked. I bet that guy doesn't even ride an XS. He's probably one of those guys that runs mini sprints and tears up an engine every other week.
