  • Alternative parts...

Who has found or adapted a part from something or somewhere else to fix/restore thier XS. For instance TC's fuse box, Geezers regulator/rectifier, U Joints from a forklift, Rings from a Ford, etc. ?

If we can complile a list of hard to come by parts from alternative sources and add it to the Tech Tips it will be helpful to others following in our footsteps...
1980 SG. (Sold - waiting on replacement)
2000 XJR1300. The Real modern XS11. Others are just pretenders.

The ol' Ford 2.3L thermostat gasket works in between the carb boot and the head with just a small amount of trimming.
