Well I've decided to begin the upside down 2nd gear fix. When removing the shift pawl after noting the position of the marks I pulled the pawl off. I got the pawl itself and the bashing. I didn't notice the spring until later. When I touched it, it of course launched itself elsewhere. I found it but now I have no idea of how it was. Any help is appreciated.
