I would think its a 78 standard by the color. Check the vin number or post it here an we will tell you.

And get a front fender on those flimsy forks

It's a standard, not too molested other than the missing bits. Looks like a set of Jardine add-on mufflers (OEM head pipes) and a 850 kicker has been added. If it's a runner, look like a decent start...

That is '79 paint/graphics on it by the way; the '79 'Magenta Red' could end up close to the '78 'Macho Maroon' once they both faded...

      And welcome!

What is the frame number? The one on the front fork head tube? Stamped in the metal on the right side? Is the engine number the same? CZ

          the vin is 2h7026164

she runs alright...50,xxx on the clock, but internally sound.
she has an issue with an intermittent miss...checked the pick up coil wires and there is some sloppy patch work down there. plan to fix that tomorrow, is the consensus to use test leads from a volt meter?

ya the frame and engine numbers match.

A pretty nice 79 standard. Looks like a fairly easy restoration.

                  Fenders

Forgot to mention: Don't do much riding with no front fender or fork brace.
Could be hazardous to your health.

                          Hi Shovelhead and welcome,
yes, so long as it don't rain. Same deal at the back. The water fan off the front wheel won't let you see where you are going and the mud streak up your back will never fully wash out. And fer chrissake put the signals & rear light back on, the average car driver has difficulty seeing a bike even when it has them.

Juat an FYI, the left side cover has a key latch, so dont go pulling in it expecting it to pop off like the right cover, it will break. Nice looking bike, timing chain might make it seem loud at idle, read up on the Auto CCT mod and just general rules on adjusting cam chain tensioner before you attempt it.
