  • Who uses a DynoJet Kit?

Right now I have a Dynojet kit in.

I am running the 128dj mains.
    Mikesxs pods
    Stock exhaust

I was having a little running issue, getting popping, not enough power, things that tell me it was time to clean and resync my carbs again.

I use the carb tune and noticed that I had to turn my pilot screw out 7 turns before I was getting the emergence of a yellow flame. Of course I did not check what they were set at before .

It seems that I have to sync my carbs at least every 2 months and I am wondering if part of the issue is the pilot screws being out to far?

If anyone is using a Dynojet kit in their xs what are your Mains,Needle Jet Clip Position, Pilot Screw Turns?

I am trying to get a idea if I have to make a few changes and the experience your having with your Dynojet kit.

    Thanks all

    Ozz

128 might be too big depending . I had 128's in mine with a Spaghetti exhaust ,pods and I was showing a slightly rich on the dyno and not worth changing . I had my pilots at 3.5 turns out. That's just my set up. I would think with stock exhaust you might be fine with just the 124 jets .

      Hey Ozz,

IF that's 7 full 360 degree turns out, then you probably need to go up a size on the Pilot jet. That far out has very little spring tension on them, so it's very possible for them to work loose from vibration. However, the synch shouldn't necessary change from running.

Looks like I will have to go down 1 size on the mains.

Plugs look like I am running rich.

That was my worry that the vibration would cause them to fall out or change the a/f mixture while ridding.

The dyno jet kit only comes with the 190 pilot jets so changing the might not be a option.

If I am correct the needle jet only changes the mid range? I had moved mine down a notch to run a little richer cause I was getting a little stumble on mid throttle.

Since my cct has broken I tore in to my carbs for a good cleaning. They looked really good. Checked my float levels all the same at 23mm.

        Thanks for the help!

Those are #190 air jets . They are not to be used as pilot jets next to the mains , they are to replace the stock air jets in the intake (rear) of the carbs. You have to use the stock pilot jets with the Dyno Jet kit .
