    Headlight for 1978 XS1100

Anyone know where I can get a headlight for my 78 XS1100? It is a sealed beam rectangular headlight. Yamaha isn't making them anymore. I assume that I need to make some modifications to get a current headlight to fit.

Crazy Steve posted a thread in the main forum on how to adapt an off the shelf bulb to fit. If I can find it I will post the link.

If you're missing the whole headlight assembly, that would be a viable replacement. But it's not a bolt-on; some mods would be required, and it lacks the chrome trim ring and the fine up/down and left/right headlight adjustment. I believe the housing is all-plastic...

Just a suggestion. I have an entire headlight assembly for a 78-79 standard.

Bucket, ring and working headlight. PM me if your interested.
