  • Shift Shaft Tension Spring Placement?

Hey guys, when putting in a new shift shaft gasket, took that side cover off and the tension spring on the shift shaft was in two pieces. Couldn't tell how it is oriented, as it just fell apart.

So, ordered a new spring, came in yesterday. Pulled up the manual today to see how it's installed and I can't tell a thing on this .pdf manual. Looks like it's page 3-40 and 3-41.

Can anyone help us out here on how things thing is oriented?
