    Gas Cap

Hey everybody. The gas cap seal on my '78 is complete trash. The rest of it is fine (I'm putting a new lock on it.) Does anyone know of a gas cap that fits over the filler hole, or would recommend where I can get/how to make a new gasket for it? Thanks guys.

There used to be a tip or maybe it was something on the old mail list about making these? Can't remember. I will look.

Thanks for the links, Gary. I'm off to Home Depot soon anyway for wire brushes to clean my carb. One more thing to add to my shopping list.

I got a bunch of rubber gasket material and I've started making new tank cap seals. Does anyone need one? Let me know if anyone does.

If onyl this was two weeks ago. I ended up buying on off the internet because the rigs I made leaked and ruined the paint on my tank. I payed 25 bucks which included shipping for a 2 dollar part. That is ridiculous. I just got tired of trying to rig it up...
