  • 79 XS1100 special petcock qestion

    Hello Everyone,

I just purchase a 79 XS1100 special, when i was taking of the gas tank i notice the right side petcock was missing a nipple for the gas line. I would like to know if there is a repair or do i need to buy a new petcock.

    Which nipple is missing?

Do the fuel lines run straight to the carbs or do they run to a little square distribution block (octy) mounted up on top of the carbs?

The two fuel nipples are pressed in and unfortunately are not sold separately.

The front nipple is the reserve so if it's this one that's missing I suppose you could ride without using the reserve as long as you plugged up the fuel line.
