The emergency shutoff switch on the throttle handlebar assembly has spent a large portion of its life outside in the rain. It was stuck in the ON position but would not move to STOP. I removed the switch and found it full of rust with the springs frozen - and sure enough the plastic is cracked by the detent ball. I cleaned it up and tried to put it back together but now nothing with the starter button. Is this switch available anywhere? Anybody have a work-around?

For the time being just hook the two red wires together and your bike will start and run.
I believe Mikes XS has the parts to rebuild that, also, they are fairly readily available on ebay as well.Greg

I have a spare laying around in the garage I know. The starter button is easy and cheap to get, about $5, If the emergency switch is working.Life is what happens while your planning everything else!
