I've searched till I'm blue in the face............ Somewhere I've seen a diagram of all the passages in the XS carbs. Am I just dreaming or is it here somewhere? Help! I'm just starting a rebuild job and it would come in handy.

Thanks Bill! This is not the one but it is BETTER. The po used silicone to seal the diaphrams to the carb housing. Some of this stuff ran down into what looks like a hole. Want to know what this hole is. Thanks.

If you are referring to the hole in the bottom of the diaphragm slide cylinder, next to the needle...that is the hole where air is vacuumed out of the space above the diaphragm. As the velocity increases past that hole in the ventouri, a vacuum pressure is created, drawing air out of the slide cylinder, and thereby raising the needle out of the main jet.
