  • XJ1100 Seat

Does anyone know of an aftermarket single seat that fits well on the XJ? The original contours really well to the side covers and other parts. One option I have it to cut my seat in half and try to make it work. I would much rather buy a new one that fits well and sell mine to someone that could use a nice original one. Any ideas?

You're not going to find one that fits without SOME fabrication. They just didn't make single seats for these bikes back in the day. You'd be better off fiding the seat you like and MAKING it work.

I agree...have not seen a single at for the XJ, or the XS, for that matter. One reason is that the seat covers (on the XJ) the TCI box, tool kit, and some wiring for rear lights and such. To make a single seat look good these items would have to be relocated or hidden. Not imposible, one of our members (Roo) has a single-seat bobber that addresed all these isues. If you go this route it will be a custom job.

Is there a particula look you are going for? You might want to contact Diamond Seat out of Florida. They made my custom seat for the XJ on their own pan, and they may be up to making a custom single for a price.
