    Sounds like your running on half the cylinders. Check the headers after riding it a few miles or idling for a few minutes and see which ones are hot. I spray water on them to listen for the sizzle.

      sounds like mine..lol.. but mine run on all 4 (sorry left hand.....lol) but di u got the vacume advance hooked up right somtimes that make that ticking sound under idle and goes away under a load.... if that is what your worryed about

        i done the water on the header and cylinders 3 and 4 are screaming hot but 1 and 2 are much cooler

          Check the fuel supply to those two. Do you have a kinked fuel line? Do you have an in-line filter that may be plugged? If fuel level in the tank is pretty low, try putting the petcock on prime or reserve.

            the lines are ok and so are my filters and the bike has a half tank of fuel it just really baffles me.

              have u synced the carbs?
              one side of the carbs could be getting more fuel than the other side.

                Not knowing the condition of the tank when you started, did you pull the petcocks out and check the filters? Have you verified good fuel flow form the petcocks?

                1 and 2 are fed from one fuel source, and the way it was running sounds like fuel starvation. So I am focusing on the fuel source to the carbs.
