i have it for sale but i was thinking about keeping it so i can store things.... anyone how to install this darn thing.. think it would come in handy. here is what it looks like....

Both of the trunks i have, mount the same way. They have four holes drilled in the bottom, and cross bars that the 1/4 inch screws go through, which holds it to the rack. They use fender washers inside for strength.

Lee, I think the "rack" the box is mounted on had side plates that mounted it too the bike. You should be able to fab something up easily, as it does NOT need to be 1/8" steel!Ray Matteis

It looks like you have the hardware for mounting the trunk. The brackets you have inside the "trunk" mount to the frame and the Rack should mount to the brackets. It may not be from your particular model though.
Have you checked those brackets to see if they line up to a shock mount or some other connection on the side of the bike? You might be closer than you think.RIP Whiskers (Shop Boss) 25+yrs

First of all, looking at your first picture you might want to first try turning the trunk around.
