While the hunt for TC is on CheckMark makes a move
Okay I missed the 20 amp max part so what about putting to 60 Amp fuses in parallel with that one. Oh boy we won't find them either.
Is TC an XS11 member I mean I scanned the member list and he has either changed his initials or goes by something else you all recognize. Or I've gone blind ha.
I got the tank, headlight and seat remounted. I pulled all the connectors in the headlight bucket apart and reconnected them. Did not see any molten ones inside or out and about. I turned the switch on and held my fuse a while this time it was behaving nicely, cool, calm and collected to the touch. So I'm going to fire her up and go get gas this time with a bit of knowledge. I rearranged the fuel lines again nipped an inch off a couple and looked closely for kink free install. Stuck the white plastic dip stick into the final drive and rear diff all clean looking and topped up. Engine oil looking good also. Re adjusted clutch to see if could make slip go away.
Headed out for gas a stop at hardware store and a bite.79 SF ; 77 XS650DComment

Not only that, with the size of that thing I don't know where you would mount it. It wouldn't fit in the stock location which would mean extending the wires to the mounting location or finding a way to relocate them.Cy

I'm new here to and I have a box from TC on the way. It's really the best fit plus TopCat is a great guy (very helpful) and buying from TC supports the site.Current Daily Rides / Projects

Actually with electrical, in most cases bigger is seldom better, it's not ALWAYS worse, but very seldom better and very often when dealt with by someone who is inexperienced or untrained is worse or in some cases even dangerous.Cy

Basic rule is if it carries current, bigger is good, but if it limits or uses more current, bigger is bad. We've both seen all the factory smoke let out when this simple rule isn't followed...Fast, Cheap, Reliable... Pick any two

Oh, and the bigger if it carries current is not always good, if the original size is big enough, going bigger in something that is subjected to vibration will make it more prone to failure at the end points from fatigue because of the extra weight. With electrical wiring, once it's big enough, unless you are increasing the expected load, increasing the wire size beyond optimal is adding wasted weight and material.Cy

Fuse block update
I finally received the SSDI I thought the shenanigans in congress was going to cut off. And got my order in for TC's fuse block. Undaunted and aware of this silly fuse thing I rode her to a local restaurant and back yesterday. It died twice each time I wiggled 30 ampere fuse and got my electrics back. I can't find where that silly wiring break is as much as I looked. It is almost as if the break is inside the insulation of an offending wire.
I also found a NOS tank black with gold flake and was about to buy it. When someone beat me to it.79 SF ; 77 XS650DComment
