How To Reinstall The The Shifter The Right Way.....

EVERYTIME I PUT THE SHIFTER BACK ON IM ONLY GETTING 1 OR 2 GEARS INCL NEUTRAL..I HAVING TROUBLE WITH IT PLEASE HELPPP..ALSO IM LOOKING FOR A TORSION SPRING FOR THE SHIFTER WHERE CAN I FIND ONE..

Hey there Darookie,

Well, if you're just putting the shift lever and arm back onto the outer chamber, then this picture will show you how it is supposed to be aligned with the gears from the SHIFT Pawl. But, if you removed the shift drum, then it's kinda hard to explain but the shift drum will only fit in a certain way with the shift forks in their proper location!

Also, you can get the return spring from Yamaha Part #
90508-29361 Spring, Torsion.

There are dots on the gears that need to align with each other, the picture is a little out of focus, but you can see what I'm talking about! HTH. T.C.
