      I checked out the seats on ebay and quite a few other sites still cant find one im really in love with.. I really want a solo cafe seat... at leest for the first bike.
      for the second bike i would like to find a stock seat from a 79..

      this is kinda where im heading

      these are my tanks before paint.. the orange one you like has a small chip of paint the size of a quater missing right on the top.

          The 79 isnt a special and it will be a while before i give up either, one to ride while i strip the other down to the bone. Going to get them both started and then decide which one to redo first...

            I kinda like the flame job on the standard tank, green would've been even sweeter! Good luck on whichever way you go with 'em and enjoy, these machines are extreme fun!

                If you look at the last post on the first page he says it is a recovered stock seat.

                    That would be to difficult to make a 79 seat fit an 80. It would be better just to have your current seat redone to the way you want.

                      Oh I didn't realize they changed that around between the years as well. I like the style of the pan on the '79 and it looks like the seat cushion itself is more narrow which would be nice for my skinny legs. I seen some pans/seats on ebay and the other linked site posted in the beginning of the thread but the ones with that curved back (like '79) had a flat seat with almost no cushion. I'll keep looking around.
