    Do the side cover emblems for Midnight Specials glue on or do they have a post like a 79 XS11 Special has? thx

      My 80 MNS has posts. If yours are broken then maybe some trim adhesive or the tape.

        One guy says they have posts another guy says they glue on. Looking up side cover part and it shows no fasteners like you would find on a xs11 special? Who is correct?> thx

          Mine don't have REMOVABLE posts, but I can see the permanent posts on the back side of the side cover. It's like they were pressed in and melted into place at the factory.

            I think the MMS emblems were glued, below is a pic of a NOS emblem and you can see the stencil cut glue layer lying behind the emblem.
