  • Where to buy Cyl head gasket in Moncton NB

I happen to be in Moncton, New Brunswick and being from central Ontario do not know where a good place to get a XS11 cylinder head gasket.
Anybody from down east here know where I can get one this weekend?

Hate to tell you this, but almost NO bike shop is going to have the head gasket for our 30 y/o bikes in stock. So...doubtful that you'll be able to get one available for this weekend work.

The OEM will cost you ~$80.00 ALONE, and you can get a complete gasket set from several places...www.partsnmore.com for one for a bit less than $100.00. Happy Shopping.

You mean there isn't a 24 hr XS11 mart in Moncton? I thought they were everywhere, just like Starbucks and McDonalds...

            Hey Nubian,

The head gasket is a sandwich of fiber and metal. The gasket kits are NEW re-productions of the EOM gaskets with new materials.

              What?

Boy are you guys wrong. The headgasket is still available and "on the shelf" here at LeBard & Underwood, Inc. LU1946.com The owner tells me he has "this big warehouse in the back and it don't make me no money if it's empty, so anything available from Yamaha for any Yamaha, it's here on the shelf".

                  Timing

Timing is everything. If you were still in Peterborough right now I'd drive one over to you. NB is out of my wheel house for a day trip.

                    Overnight

LeBard & Underwood would probably ship one overnight to you if you like.

                      The Head gasket cost.

Found a just a head gasket $110+tax and found a complete engine kit with head gasket $85+ tax.

Ordered the 85 complete kit so if anybody in the maritimes here needs some extra gaskets let me know. I only needed the Head gasket. I already had all the other gaskets, but why not collect some more.

Anybody in the Moncton,NB area need to fix a leaky gasket on their XS11.
