I posted this on another one of my noobie question threads but, haven't seen any feedback so I will try one devoted soley to these questions.
I did my CCT adjustment and it seems to be working fine. I need to do some sort of fix on the plug as it is leaking oil, not sure which one I will use. I'm sure I will get the notorious auto CCT mod suggestions, but I do like the upgrade I've seen of the original CCT. That way I get to keep it
Found out tuning by ear is a bit more challenging than I thought it would be, although it is running a lot better now. I will check the plugs when it cools down and see what they look like. What color am I looking for?
Also, on another note. I checked them before I final tuned and No. 2 plug was wet, with what smelled like oil. Did the 'ol spit test and 1,3, and 4 headers all burnt it off instantly. Spit stuck to no.2 header. So I am guessing that No.2 cylinder isn't firing due to the wet plug. Any ideas on what my issue is? Rings? Did look like a milky white substance in my oil(gas?). Could it be my float in the no.2 carb and I'm just not smelling it right?
I did take it for a ride and it was excellent getting back on her again. Ran pretty well, a few backfires on decel at high RPM's. Will resync tomorrow and see what that does.
Might have an octy issue, as it seems it runs better on prime.
On a side note, brakes work great but it will take some getting used to after the smaller bore MC. Takes more of a squeeze than before And they don't lie about breaking in new tires. They sure seem different right now.
Lastly, what size is the air pressure nozzle on the forks? Doesn't seem like a standard pressure gauge works to check it. I will be rebuilding them eventually but I wanna at least keep them up to par till I get that far. A few things need to take place before that.
