  • Rear MC Reservoir Cover bolts

Has any body replaced the 3 reservoir studs that the hex nuts fasten on to for the cap?
I twisted the end of one rusty one and the other two are about as bad.
No Yami parts #'s that I can find.

    Can a engine stud or
All thread be used? Near I can figure is M5, but not sure of the pitch.

Finding a stud or threaded rod will be the biggest problem you'll have. No reason why either won't work. You won't find any part numbers, as Yammy didn't list the reservoir (or it's attaching parts) as separate items; only available as a complete assembly, and long discontinued.

You may have to retap this for a different thread, as I've found that some of the less-common metric hardware can be hard to find. Worst case, you could get a long enough bolt, cut the head off it and thread the end...

You will need to know the size, pitch, and length. Unless you buy a piece of All-thread. CZ

I replaced mine with stainless ones. I think you'll find they are metric fine thread.

          Thanks guys.
I'll check AAA as I'm not having too much luck elsewhere.
Not using calipers just a rule they appear to be M5 @ 35mm with 14 mm threads.
Does fine thread automatically denote the pitch?
I thought that was the .8, or whatever # came after the M5.
I do have one hex nut, guess I'll just have to match it up at local hardware to make certain.
Will post back when I get mine located. I can't be the only XSive with rusty studs.
