Any XSsives have experience with fuel stabilizers vs. draining tanks for winter?

Yes... STABIL is a great product IMHO.... have used it in various applications. I have found that a bit more than the directions call for is better. I have heard of guys locally starting engines no problem after 8 years (may be a stretch, don't know) I have stored marine tanks as long as 2 years and no problem. The winter should be a breeze...LOL
Remember to drain the carbs and lines though... it is recommended.

I use Stabil in gas tanks. I believe you need to fill it to the tippy top with fuel to keep out air and the resulting condensation. What I do is run the fuel + stabil into the carbs and every now and the, run the engine and top it off.

I use it in everthing that sits in the winter, works great, I don't go more than a year with out swapping the fuel. I used to not use it and my XS would run crappy for the first tank full in the spring. Now it starts up like it never sat at all and runs perfectly. Highly recommended.

          Fuel stab

What Gary said!!!!! Been using it for last 5 years great stuff for lawn mowers , skidoos, bikes , But i do fill the tank before parking it with the stabilizer in it then run it till it works its way into the carbs.............MITCH

Just like everyone has said, put in the Sta-bil, fill the tank, run it for 5 miles or so to get it into the carbs. Then you have a tankfull when spring comes, ready to go. Has not failed me ever.
            Don't have winter without it.

                  Winter is a fairy tale...

It is told to the kiddies by their moma to scare them if they are bad....just like Santa, Tooth Fairy, Easter Bunny etc....no one has ever really seen it...just a myth I believe...at least that is what I thought growing up in the Florida Keys....wow what a shock when I went to Tech School in the Air Force in Denver Colorado...got there in January....brrrr...
