    Floats

    Jedi,
I had a pin hole in a brass float at the seam and dipped quickly it in warm water to force the gas out of it and simply re soldered it. Easy fix and economical too.

It is also an iffy fix. Yes it plugs the hole but it also changes the weight of the float, and can make it float low and then you need to compensate by changing your status float height. Also when soldering on the floats if you get tge float a little too hot all the solder seams can let go and then the float falls to bits.

It can be done! But one must be cautious and careful.
