Windjammer SS Electrical Color Codes: (Click the link to get a neater version...all the way to the bottom)

    Fairing Wire Function Bike Wire

    White High Beam Yellow
    Yellow Low Beam Green
    Black Ground Black
    Violet Left Turnsignal Brown
Blue Right Turnsignal Dark Olive Green
    Green Running Lights Blue

With the above setup, the following is the result:

    Left front running light
Left front with Right rear signal (signal is very slow, but bike isn’t running)
    Left rear signal by itself
    No dash lights

Split the green to go to both Blues
    Right front running
    Left rear running
    Left rear signal
    Dash Lights

Switched Brown to Blue and Dark Olive Green to Violet
    Left and right front running
Left front with Right rear signal
    No dash lights

Split the green to go to both Blues
    Left and right running
Left front with Right rear signal
    Left rear signal
    No dash lights

NOTE: White, Yellow and Black are not connected during this test. Could this be the cause of the problem?? (There is a good reason why they're not connected)

NOTE: The original Yamaha fairing had the green wire split to go to the two blue bike wires.

The black is ground for EVERYTHING in the fairing, so even without the headlight hooked up you need the black wire hooked up. You can leave the rest of the headlight wires disconnected, but you need that ground for proper operation of the rest of the lights without causing malfunctions elsewhere because of stray electrons.

      Thanks Cy,

Connected the ground and lo and behold everything worked as it should....almost. The left front turn signal doesn't signal. Ideas on this one?

And I was sure that I saw a thread or tech tip on here somewhere about getting the rear turn signals to be running lights as well, but can't find it anywhere.

Anyone know of this or am I just dreaming?

      Thanks
