  • An indicator of a fresh engine??

Hi my buddies. As I mentioned, I bought my bike off a reputable guy and it had an indicated 7k miles on it. Of course, I'm always looking for signs that this could be false, but everything on the bike really looks quite unused. I came up with the idea of pulling a plug and shining a light in the cylinder. I can clearly see horizontal cross hatching. Would this be an indicator of low mileage in your opinion?

Yes, if you can see the honing marks in the cylinder walls, the engine has not had very many miles since it was last rebuilt, or orginally built.
