I sent my plugs to WMarshy in July and he took them to his guy, unfortunately the guy he knows doesn't have a machine large enough to make our plugs. Last I heard he was still looking for someone that could make them...

Well guys, I just got back in town after a year hiatus and started on a shop so I can finally complete a project. I still ain't a master mechanic but I am a machinist. And I helped built a machine shop with my ex-ol ladies dad right up the road here. I still haven't got all my bikes here, xs11 included, but if somebody could provide a proper drawing with dimensions and tolerances then I am sure I can get these whipped up at brother-in-law prices on the cnc lathe.

If wmarshy will send my plugs back to me I'll do one better than a proper drawing I'll drop a pair of them in the mail for you to use as a template.

Just sent Nate my address, he's gonna send a plug for me to work off of. I think I have enough material to do a couple dozen. As long as the CNC isn't throwing a fit, this will be a quick and simple job(read: dirt cheap)

                      Advantage

Whats the advantage of billet over rubber?

John, the big thing about the billet is that when made right you get a lip on the inside and the outside of the plug (rather than just the outside) so that there are no issues with the plug coming out and it seals better.
