sidepanels
Scoobes - not sure I can be any help - but there is a picture library of bikes on this site which may give you a general idea.
Other than that, some of the Yam dealers around here have the old microfisches still and can probably call you up a part number. If you are stuck - one of the places that advertises in the UK mag Motorcycle Mechanics could do. Let me know if you need a Yam dealer contact that could help with the part no. - I have an idea about one or two to try

if you could send a photo that would be great, could you also take a photo of the mounting brakets on the frame of the bike(bothe sides) and the first three digets of theframe, there are so many people who are trying to find out what side panels fit what bike,so if i can (with the help of xs owners) i should be able to sort out what side panels will fit what model,it would make it easey when some one says what one they have to know if it will fit your bike,if you know what i mean,

This would be a good item for the tech pages. I'm thinking of a straight-on shot from the outside, a straight-on shot of the backside of the panel, and a shot of the mounting area with the sidecover removed. Of course, we'd want this for each side of the bike, and for each of the models. I could put this together if people want to send me their stuff. I can retreive from your site, or can receive e-mail attachments, and I've got '81H and '80 LG covered with my own bikes. Once I get each model and variation covered I'll post a note here so I don't end up with 100 extrasKen Talbot
