  • XJ Carb Sync Question - special tool?

I have access to a Motion Pro carb sync tool that just floats around our local group, pulled up the manual to start reading up on the procedure so I have an idea.

The manual says I need some sort of special tool besides the carb sync. Is this really necessary? I can pull up the manual on the other computer later if folks need more info.

You need to block the YICS passage to properly sync the carbs on your XJ motor.

Save yourself the frustration of making one that doesn't work very well and go with bikerphil's first suggestion. Get a YICS Eliminator, install it and forget about that useless YICS system.
